Looking for a fresh start and the opportunity to bring the joy back into her netball, well-performed defender Remi Kamo makes the move across the Tasman to play for the Stars in 2025. Predominantly a goalkeeper, Kamo was a consistent contributor during her two seasons (2023 and 2024) with the Queensland Firebirds in the Australian Super League. A trained psychologist, Kamo was born in Brisbane, but has Māori heritage on her father’s side and is eligible to represent New Zealand. Feeling a sense of support and belonging, Kamo is keen to embrace her new home and test herself against a fresh style of play. An experienced, quick-footed last line of defence, Kamo will add extra starch to the back-end of the Stars court while looking to stamp her credentials.
