Gaining her first fulltime contract at the elite level, towering Australian shooter Charlie Bell will be a key asset under the Stars hoop in 2025. Standing at 1.97m, Bell was intent on spending a second season as a training partner with the Sunshine Coast Lightning in the Australian Super League this year but decided a stint in New Zealand could only enhance her career. The former Australian U21 player was a temporary injury replacement for the Tactix in 2024, spending two weeks with the red-and-blacks, and is keen to fully immerse herself in a new environment and different style to further develop her game. An injury replacement player for the Lightning in 2023 and a training partner last year, Bell was a prolific contributor for the Queensland Sapphires in the Australian Netball Championship. Her strong holding game, combined with superior height and accuracy under the hoop, leave the well-versed shooter poised as a valuable signing for the Stars.
