Versatile defender/midcourter Holly Fowler makes a return to the Mystics for the 2025 season after starting her career with the team in 206. A foundation player with the Stars in 2017, where she spent several seasons, Fowler has also played for the Magic (2020 and 2021). A talented athlete, Fowler’s progress has been stymied by major knee injuries in 2017 and 2020. She made it back on court for the later stages of 2021 and in the intervening time has impressed with her speed, effective defensive marking and attacking abilities. Able to master both defensive wings with equal finesse, Fowler can also add centre to her playing resume. In her formative years, Fowler left a significant impression as a successful captain of the Mount Albert Grammar School team while also captaining the NZSS team. Before injury struck, Fowler had previously been in the Silver Ferns Development squad, 2018 NZA team and the 2018 FAST5 Netball World Series title-winning FAST5 Ferns team.
