The Mystics have scored a major coup in providing a new home for Australian shooting sensation Donnell Wallam for the 2025 season. Having spent a season with the Leeds Rhinos in the UK Super League in 2021, Wallam went on become a fixture with the Queensland Firebirds (2022 – 2024) in the Australian Super League where she regularly finished near the top of the statistics for goals scored and offensive rebounds. Unable to gain a contract in Australia for 2025, the Mystics have found the perfect replacement for Grace Nweke, who will play for the Swifts this season. Standing at 1.93, Wallam is a formidable presence under the hoop, clever footwork, dynamic play and shooting accuracy being key elements to her strike power. Excited to find a new challenge in a new environment, Wallam will add plenty of firepower to a well-credentialled Mystics line-up. She remains a member of the 2024-25 Australian Diamonds squad.
