After gaining her first elite level contract in 2024 in her first year out of school, promising defensive prospect Lili Tokaduadua is back for a third season with the Stars in 2026. After a standout season for the Stars sister team, the Comets in 2023, the powerful defender has continued to build on her budding career. In a team ravaged by injury in 2025, the rangy Tokaduadua produced a series of individual highlights with her athletic ability to pull in intercepts, rebounding work and through-court ball distribution. Originally from Fiji, Tokaduadua was offered a netball scholarship at Howick College in Year Nine, prompting her to make the move to New Zealand at the age of 15. That move has more than paid off for Tokaduadua following successful seasons with the east Auckland college, and subsequent selection in the NZSS team in 2022 and 23 and the Comets. Tokaduadua’s talents are not limited to netball, the impressive all-rounder also represented Howick College at volleyball, rugby 7s and rugby 10s.
