Returning to her home city of Auckland, 1.92m shooter Amelia Walmsley will line up for the Stars in 2026. Gaining her first fulltime contract fresh out of Howick College in 2022, Walmsley has spent the last four seasons with the Pulse. Banking valuable experience of life as an elite-level netballer, Walmsley has made great strides in all facets of her game after delivering a breakthrough campaign in 2023. Having limited court minutes in her first year, the rangy and talented shooter quickly answered the varied challenges of top-flight netball with an impressive 2023, resulting in selection in the 2023-24 Silver Ferns squad. She has maintained her presence in the Silver Ferns squad ever since while also captaining the NZ U21 team at the 2025 World Youth Cup where the New Zealanders won the silver medal. A player with a heap of potential, who is adding to her repertoire by building her goal attack game, the long-limbed shooter has improved her footwork and handling skills while height and accuracy under the hoop make her a ready target alongside her rebounding ability.
