Coming out of retirement for the second time, creative midcourter Erikana Pedersen returns to her second home where she will suit up for the Tactix in 2024. Pedersen last played for the Tactix in 2021, retiring at season’s end after being a key cog for the red-and-blacks for seven campaigns. An injury replacement for the Pulse in 2022, Pedersen capped a fairytale return with a telling comeback to help the Pulse to a title-winning run, also claiming her first-ever title in the process. Thinking that was her last hurrah, Pedersen has since been lured back to the Tactix. After moving from the Mystics in 2015, Pedersen found her niche in the south. With plenty of experience under her belt, the talented playmaker has developed into a reliable and consistent performer at both wing attack and centre. A former World Youth Cup winner with the 2013 NZU21 team, Pedersen gained selection in the 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019-20 Silver Ferns Development squads. An unassuming but hugely effective player, Pedersen enjoyed a stellar 2018, earning her Silver Ferns debut during the Constellation Cup that year.
