Returning to her home city of Auckland in 2021, defender Elle Temu has enjoyed a rapid rise and will line up for a third season with the Stars in 2023. Getting the opportunity to play alongside the experienced Anna Harrison, and with plenty of on-court opportunities at both goal defence and goalkeeper, the 1.89m Temu has come along in leaps and bounds. A mobile defender with an impressive wing span, Temu picks off plenty of intercept ball and has helped form a potent defensive line in the Stars make-up. A player with good timing, Temu also reads play astutely well from the defensive end. A former NZSS defender, Temu cut her teeth at the elite level with the Pulse. Continuing to make promising strides and with increased opportunities, Temu is well primed for a bright career after making her Silver Ferns debut in 2022.
