No stranger to the Pulse environment, exciting midcourter Ainsleyana Puleiata makes the leap up to the elite level in 2023 from sister team Manawa, who won last year’s National Netball League title. Puleiata added the icing to the cake when anointed NNL Player of the Year. Blessed with an abundance of speed, creativity and deft feeding skills, Puleiata has long been earmarked as a special talent but has had to bide her time after major injury setbacks. She has previously been a Pulse training partner while also adding valuable cover last year during the challenges thrown up by Covid and injury. She has also been a NZU21 team member and adds to a rich tapestry of talent in the Pulse midcourt. Apart from her sparkling athletic talents, Puleiata has developed a strong mental fortitude and created her own inspirational story after bouncing back from two ACL ruptures during her young career.
