Josie Seymour

One of a new breed of young talent emerging at the elite level, strongly-built midcourter Josie Seymour has gained her first fulltime contract and will play for the Tactix in 2026. Seymour made her ANZ Premiership debut for the Tactix last season in their final round game against the Mystics. Selected in the game-day squad for the elimination final and grand final, she was part of the Tactix’ history-making first title win. She was also a key member of the Tactix sister team, Mainland in the 2025 National Netball League (NNL), the team winning the final to capture the title for the first time. Predominantly a wing defence, the 1.8m Seymour can switch to goal defence, her main position through secondary school at St Margaret’s College but her future is likely to lie in the midcourt. Seymour, who capped a memorable 2025 when winning a silver medal with the NZ U21 team at the World Youth Cup, is poised to build on her exciting potential with the step up to elite level. She is the daughter of former Silver Ferns captain Julie and rugby sevens great Dallas.
