First chosen as a teenager over 10 years ago, defender Amy Christophers returns to the Magic line-up in 2023 as a replacement player for Oceane Maihi, who has been ruled out due to injury. A rangy in-circle defender, Christophers is an experienced campaigner at National Netball League (NNL) and Centre level. Last year she played for Waikato-BOP in the NNL while also teaming up with Magic defender Erena Mikaere for Tauranga in the Netball Open Championships. She is familiar with the Magic environment and will relish another opportunity to make her mark at the elite level.
