No break in Gracie's Netball dream thanks to ANZ
A dream came true for injured young Queenstown netballer Gracie McIsaac at the Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel’s first home game of the ANZ Premiership.
When ANZ heard that Gracie was feeling down after breaking her arm, and subsequently missing her Netball trials, they knew they could do something to help. To keep her passion for the game alive, even with this minor setback, ANZ made Gracie the first ever mini-manager of the Steel.
Gracie’s role at the Steel vs. WBOP Magic match at ILT Stadium Southland in Invercargill included running out onto court with the team in her own personalised Steel team dress, helping with the post-match cool down, joining the team for their post-match team briefing, and post-match dinner.
“I loved every minute of my time as mini-manager. I feel so inspired and I’m actually so glad that I broke my arm now because I got hang to out with the Steel and they are the coolest. They all made me feel so welcome and I couldn’t be happier right now. The whole experience was my favourite but if I had to pick a favourite favourite it was hanging out with them on court after the game,” says Gracie.
