Tactix set to host record crowd in Christchurch

Christchurch is set to play host to the largest ANZ Premiership crowd of all time when The Good Oil Tactix host Robinhood Northern Stars at Horncastle Arena on Thursday night.

More than 5,000 fans will pack the stands in what will be New Zealand’s biggest domestic netball crowd for a single game outside Silver Ferns matches.

The Round 8 fixture marks the competition’s return around the country for the first time since March, following six rounds of centralised matches at Auckland Netball Centre after the season pause and restart due to COVID-19.

The match-up is critical to the title chances of both the Tactix and Stars, with second spot on the ladder still up for grabs behind undefeated Te Wānanga o Raukawa Pulse who are in top position.

The Pulse are in clear air on 40 points at the top of the ladder, with the Northern Mystics 15 points adrift and the Tactix one further point back.

Thursday's
The Good Oil Tactix v Robinhood Northern Stars match is live from 7pm Sky Sport 3 (for NZ viewers), and through international streaming at netballnz.streamamg.com
